8 Weeks Texture Challenge

FORHALLE 8 weeks texture challenge

FOUR JOURNEYS. ONE BUTTER. REAL RESULTS.

Join us as we document the transformation of real hair - from extremely dry and damaged to soft, healthy, and thriving - using FORHALLE's Whipped Blueberry Hair Butter.

What Is the 8-Week Texture Challenge?

This isn't a paid promotion. It's not staged photos with perfect lighting. It's real people, with real hair struggles, documenting their journey using FORHALLE's Whipped Blueberry Hair Butter as a weekly deep conditioning treatment.

The Challenge Rules Are Simple:

  1. Use FORHALLE Whipped Blueberry Hair Butter 2-3 times per week as a deep conditioning treatment
  2. Take weekly progress photos (same lighting, same angles)
  3. Document everything (wins, struggles, surprises, honest feelings)
  4. Share the truth (what works, what doesn't, how hair feels and looks)
  5. Complete 8 full weeks from start to finish

No other products required. No complicated 10-step routines. Just consistent care with natural ingredients and the commitment to see it through.

The Science Behind 8 Weeks

Why 8 weeks specifically?

Hair doesn't transform overnight. True healing and visible improvements follow a timeline:

Week 1-2: Surface Changes

  • Immediate softness and slip
  • Easier detangling
  • Initial moisture absorption
  • Participants notice reduced hair care time

Week 3-4: Structural Improvements

  • Hair shaft begins to strengthen
  • Moisture retention improves
  • Breakage reduces noticeably
  • Curl pattern starts emerging more clearly

Week 5-6: Visible Transformation

  • Noticeable shine and overall health
  • Defined curl pattern
  • Reduced frizz throughout the day
  • Confidence increases

Week 7-8: Long-Term Results

  • Established healthy hair routine
  • Consistent, reliable results
  • New hair growth shows improved health
  • Family has found sustainable rhythm

This isn't about quick fixes or Instagram-worthy transformations that disappear by day three. It's about sustainable, healthy hair care that actually works and lasts.

Weekly Challenge Updates

What We're Tracking:

  • Initial application experiences
  • How hair responds to first treatment
  • Detangling before vs after
  • Participant observations and feelings

EESHA (Adult, Extremely Dry):

21st Oct: "Skeptical but will try. My hair has been dry for YEARS. Applied generously because at this point, what do I have to lose? I am also looking for a product for my daughter's natural hair so if this works, it will be a goodie for both of us"

26th Oct: "Just received the product, I really love the texture of the product, it is so thick and literally what my hair needs because it needs so much moisture"

19th Nov: "My hair is looking healthier and shinier. Here is my after photo compared to the snipped I took from one of the before videos. I will start on the after video next week after I've done 1-2 more treatments"

Moisture Retention: Improved 75%
Curl Definition: Improved 80%
Manageability: Improved 85%
Product Used: Approximately 40% of jar

KELLANY (17, 4B Texture):

Boy with dry 4b curls

Day 1: "...my hair is dry but I find store bought product when I use them, moisturises for a short period and becomes dry again by mid day"

11 Nov: "I have noticed a shinning improvement"

Awaiting final update

LARA (6, Crisis Mode Dry):

kid with extremely dry curly hair

We met Lara for the very first time and took the photo above. Our assessment is her hair is extremely dry, she has a beautiful curl pattern but even with applying a lot of products it was not easily absorbed and we had to use a dollop of curl gel to bring out her curls. Using gel to define her curls only masks the issue (just like applying foundation on a skin with acne), so we told mum to join the texture challenge.

Parent's Update - Week 2 update: "We have been adding the cream to Lara's hair 3x a week, leave it in overnight, rinse and style in the morning."

6th Nov: "Smells lovely and really easy to use. I use a clarifying shampoo in the beginning before I started using the product but  I only use a normal shampoo to wash her hair now. Her curls look defined for the first time in months."

Week 2 Progress Photo from mum:

"I dont use shampoo when I wash the product out, and I put her hair in the shower cap once applied overnight. Her hair feels better"

Our comment to mum: Low porosity hair often takes longer to show dramatic results. The fact that it feels better is HUGE progress. Keep going and by week 5-6 you will nitice better moisture retention as her hair texture continues to repair.

13th Nov: "We are being able to notice the change in Lara's hair. Photos and videos attached"

Week 3 Progress Photo:

Our comment to mum: Just keep going, do not stop

SURAYAH (5, Short Curls):

Parent's Update - Day 2: "Tried the butter on Surayah's short curls. Wasn't sure if we'd need less product, but the dry ends absorbed everything. Her hair feels like silk!"

Our comment to mum: Surayahs's hair needs less product. Use a little pea size amount

SURAYAH: Parent Update: We bought a (names popular brand) hair mask which I use for her hair weekly and use the butter before styling

Our comment to mum: Using popular hair brand not specifically for kids without checking the ingredients list. Our hair butter doubles as a hair mask and it is actually better in providing longer lasting moisture and long term repair than a store bought hair mask. We provided mum with details on how to use our hair butter as a hair mask as well as regular styling tips
